How to use the generated content?

As soon as the desired text type and the desired topic as well as a suitable image have been combined and edited, the question arises as to how this content can best be used. Various functions are available depending on the selected text type:

Download content

The option to download content is available for all text types, topics + images. To do this, click on the ‘Download’ button below the selection area.

The Content Creator also automates several work steps here:
The text, image, and a link to the matching landing page are made available in a zip file that is saved through the browser to the preferred storage location on your device.

Working with zip files

If you are not sure how to work with zip files, take a look at the following article on microsoft.com: Zipping and unzipping files
We have chosen this format for the download because zip-files offer an easy way to combine various files (here: image, text and link) in one file and thus only one download.
This reduces the necessary work steps and saves you valuable time.

Pro-tip — save time with social media marketing

If you have created and downloaded a Facebook post, for example, the identical post can also be used for Instagram and LinkedIn.

Post content directly to social networks

Facebook

If you have selected ‘Facebook post’ as the text type, you also have the option of posting this content to Facebook directly from the Content Creator. This saves you numerous work steps and therefore a lot of time. All you have to do is connect your Facebook account to markero once. You can find out how this works in the following paragraph:

Connect Facebook account

To activate this function, you must first link your Facebook account with markero.

This sounds complicated, but it's really quite simple: the markero system guides you through all the necessary steps.
To start the process, create a Facebook post and then click on ‘Link social media accounts’ below the post. You will then be guided through the linking process. For future posts, you can then post directly from this location. This is because the ‘Link social media accounts’ button then gives way to the ‘Post now’ button.

Remove connection to Facebook

This link can also be removed again via the settings in your markero system. To do this, go to Settings → Functions → Manage social media channels and open this settings area by clicking on it. The connected channels are displayed there and can be disconnected again with just one click.

Instagram

You can also link an Instagram account directly to post on Instagram.
In the Content Creator, select the text type “Instagram Post” and create a post on a topic of your choice. Then click on “Link social media accounts” below the created post and follow the instructions that now appear. For future Instagram posts, simply click on the “Post now” button below the created post and the Content Creator will automatically post your post on the linked Instagram account.

Connecting Instagram and Facebook

Like Facebook, Instagram belongs to the company “Meta”. Meta is endeavoring to integrate the services “Instagram”, “Facebook” and “WhatsApp” ever more closely. It is therefore necessary for you to link your Instagram company profile with the corresponding Facebook page. Markero supports you in this.

Convert Instagram account to business profile

To use Instagram professionally, you need a business profile. Don't worry, your existing account can be converted into a business profile in just a few steps:

Start your Instagram app on your smartphone and go to your profile.
Open the menu (top right).
Tap on “Settings and privacy”.
Select “Account type and tools”.
Tap on “Switch to professional account”.
Decide on a category that best describes your company, then select “Business”.
Done!

LinkedIn is now available as a third option. Connect your LinkedIn account to publish your created posts on LinkedIn as well. Here's how:

Open the Content Creator.
Select “LinkedIn Post” as the text type.
Create your post.
At the bottom center, you will find a button labeled “Link Social Media Accounts.”
Click this button and follow the instructions.

The LinkedIn account only needs to be linked once. For all future LinkedIn posts, simply click the “Post Now” button below the created post, and the Content Creator will automatically publish your post on the linked LinkedIn account.

Problems connecting

If you have problems connecting to Facebook or Instagram, this could be caused by add-ons in your browser. In particular, add-ons that are designed to prevent Facebook from collecting data in the background. These add-ons can also hinder the connection between markero and Facebook. However, this connection is necessary in order to be able to post directly from markero. If you receive the following or similar messages when connecting, please deactivate the browser add-ons in question and try again.

One example of such a plug-in is the ‘Facebook Container’ for the Firefox browser.
Pop-up and ad blockers can also cause such issues.
